2017 | Aggie Showchoir

Albertville Showchoirs Director: Natasha Tidmore

Albertville High School's CenterStage! is a 100-member show choir including 64 singers/dancers, 14 student crew members, and a 22 piece instrumental combo. CenterStage! is under the direction of Natasha Tidmore and is choreographed by Michael Weaver. The Albertville Choral Program was founded in 1985 with 10 students. It has steadily grown to encompass more than 300 students in grades 7-12 including two high school show choirs, a middle school show choir, a select vocal jazz choir, and various non-competitive and non-auditioned mixed and unisex concert choirs. CenterStage! is Albertville’s foremost competitive choral ensemble. CenterStage! competes throughout the Southern and Midwestern United States and has won many Grand Championships through the years though their primary focus is entertainment. With this goal in mind, CenterStage! has taken a less traditional “theatrical” approach to their productions in recent years incorporating original storylines, casts of characters, elaborate costuming, and interactive sets.

VocalEase was created in 1996 as a performance oriented ensemble for selected older students who enjoy the challenges associated with learning and performing a huge repertoire of music in pop, gospel, and jazz styles. VocalEase performs for schools, churches, and various civic groups.

CenSations is a more traditional show choir. It is directed by Natasha Tidmore, and choreographed by Michael Weaver. This group also hosts the Albertville High School Diamond Classic at the Albertville Fine Arts Center along with Albertville CenterStage. They are looking forward to a great year filled with many competitions against other schools' showchoirs across the country.

The Albertville High School Girls' Choir is an ensemble made up of young ladies in grades 9-12. The choir has multiple performances including one at the annual Sweets and Songs, which is held in January at the Albertville Fine Arts Center. The choir meets on a daily basis as an elective class. Each year, students are encouraged to join one of three choirs offered at Albertville High School.
